If you are new to the LJW, then here is a quick overview of what we are about.
The LJW is a strictly non-fundraising volunteer organisation, working to make a difference. Our approach to volunteering is passionate, and has changed organically over the years, adapting to the changing modern way of life.
LJW is the UK affiliate of ICJW (the International Council of Jewish Women) which enables our members to be in communication with other Jewish Women throughout the world and attend their international conferences.
We have been recruiting members since the LJW's birth in 1943, and our members come from across the spectrum of religious observance of the Jewish faith.
As well as welfare volunteering, todays LJW provides a range of educational and social activities, both at central and local level.
